Home Town is a card shop and a game room out on Ed Bluestein, with five play areas named for the Austin we grew up in. Here's how the place is laid out, what's going on in every room today, and how to grab a table for your own game.

Front door to back

Take the tour

Walk in off the parking lot and you're under the Moontower. Keep going and you'll hit the snack bar, the big green room, the little red one with the door, and the hall in the back where the brackets happen.

The Moontower

Black Room · 12 seats

Named for the moonlight towers that have lit Austin's streets since the 1890s. This is the front room: the counter, the Switch, a couch, and flex tables that open from a 2-player square to a 4-player long table. Most nights start here.

Barton Springs Lounge

Blue Room · 4 seats

Barton Springs is where Austin goes to cool off, so this is where you go between rounds. Snacks and drinks, sleeves and dice from the kiosk, a lounge to sit back in, and a couple of small tables for a quick game.

Zilker Arena

Green Room · 16 seats

Zilker is the big green middle of the city. Here it's the big green middle of the store, and it's for playing, full stop. Four long tables, sixteen seats, league nights and pods most days of the week.

The Bat Cave

Red Room · 8 seats

A nod to the Congress Avenue bats, who come out at dusk by the million. Ours is a small room with one long ten-foot table and a door that closes. Book it for a draft, a private group, or a birthday.

Championship Hall

White Room · 24 seats

Two rooms knocked into one at the back of the store. Tournaments, prereleases and anything with a top cut run here. When it isn't spoken for, the tables are open for pods like everywhere else.
